FES X5 CNC main rotor yoke doesn't fit
Is it normal that the main rotor yoke doesn't fit smooth onto the main shaft?
From my Align kits this just drops on it and bolt down. I have to use some serious force to press mine onto the X5 shaft. To be honest I think I f**cked up and wasted it. When I run the motor the head stopper wobbles seriously.

No. If anything mine was loose and I had to really tighten the bolt to get the head tight.

Thanks!
At least I know tolerances are not on my side with this kit.

Mine was actually abit sloppy on the MS. I put it in a vise and crunched it down until it was nice and snug on the MS. No more slop. Its solid now, even after a crapload of flights.

I had to push fairly hard down on mine to get it on. I guess I should have checked inside it for burrs, etc. It is nice and straight.

One of mine has been quite tight but flies perfect.

Seems like Gaui still has a QC problem if you ask me.
Problems i have seen so far: - Frame stiffener screws (the longer ones) don't fit. Holes inside the CNC servo mounts are not deep enough. I can fix it by using the shorter stock screws. - Tail slider sticky. I can fix it with a small washer. - Yoke doesn't fit on main shaft. Needs replacement. - Main gear has some up-down play, makes it wobble. Not sure how to fix this. (Needs shim I don't have I guess.) (If I lift the main gear up you can see a small space above the C-clip.) To be honest I'm sick of it, paid a lot of money and it's not a "pleasure to build" like everybody says. Sorry for the rant.

My only other scratch build was a HK450, so it has been a pleasure for me in comparison. |

My Align kits never missed a thing. Maybe I'm just lucky on that.
Now you say about screws, on the swash servo arms you need three M2 screws to fix the balls. Two where the correct lenght but one is short. I wonder why they don't put three M2 screws of the same lenght inside the kit? It's always possible to make it a little shorter if needed, but not longer.

In other words, you needed a lot of force to get it in place?
How did you manage?
