You should post these kinds of questions in the forum for the heli. The Trex Nitro forum is here:
https://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=78 However. First it is odd you have a Nitro with the old plastic tail case. I do not recall Align ever making a Nitro version with that tail case? But for that old plastic tail case, the pitch slider control arm is VERY close to the case. It will rub the case if you forget to put in the spacer washer between the bell crank and the arm the bell crank pivots on. It was common back then users would either forget this spacer washer or put the wrong washer there (a thinner one). If the arm is rubbing and the thick spacer washer is there then usually it was due to a warped plastic arm. Bob

See my Trex 500 nitro conversion videos and I show how to setup the Align gov. It's not with a Futaba radio thought but the principles are the same.
I have not done a GY701 but John has: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=252108 Bob

On the GV1 setup you said it could be adjusted in the adj. travel...I can do it when I am in the programming part, but it does not seem to change if I am flying it. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong.
I have one other question.....I also have a .90 size Raptor.....where should the RPM's be for the three flight modes? I set it up like the .50, but that seems to be insanely too much RPM's.

Hello,
I took apart the tail grips from my old Trex 600 tonight, for maintenance purposes. I had put this heli together some time back, and haven't taken off the tail for couple of years. Right away I noticed that I need to put in some lithium grease on the thrust bearings. Questions: How many radial bearings does these tails have? I only have one (sitting right next to the center hub), and then the radial (next to the bolt). Aren't there supposed to be at least two sets of radial bearings, and then the thrust bearing? Thank you in advance for your feedback ... cheers |

it has been years since i built my last trex 600N i recall it being simple watching these step by step build videos by finless helping and expelling a lot and seting up the old DX7…
well i have got the bug again and i picked up the new DX9 and decided to go with the 600DFC and decided to come back on here to tweak and look for clean setup videos. well to my surprise Nothing im shocked. Did the heli world fall off. what happond to finless and his priceless tips and setup videos. (Hope we didn't lose a Great) heli's have improved alot in the past 5 years i expected the same for the videos i have found some and one that is half pare to the God of heli's (finless) what happened and can someone point me to the right direction

yes welcome back may I start a list I have the new 600DFC super combo, picked up the DX9 and got the spectrum gps telemetry system, reading the 3GX I'm thinking they can work together for auto pilot I'm hoping. is the 3GX flybarless system a receiver also, or just everything else, and you plug servos into it instead of the receiver and bus out telemetry.
Edit, or will i have to buy the dji naza h

Trex 600N DFC 3Gx Setup Spektrum & Telemetry
Used old videos to help refresh mind and a guide funny most the mods align has took care of them made the parts better and now include a lot of CNC parts instead of the old kits with the plastics heres what i need to know i couldn't make a New thread about the 600N DFC kit so just continued it here in the old 600 vids
Either I'm over looking it or its not there but i can not find any info on Telemetry or a Spektrum setup. here is what i have, let me know what i need to do TRex 600N DFC Spektrum DX9 3GX Spektrum TM1000 Telemetry system Spektrum GPS Sensor JR RA01T DMSS 2.4GHz Telemetry Module Full Range with Chip Antenna ( Will this JR DMSS Remote Receiver Bind with the Spectrum and Dx9 setup ok?) after I bought it I was reading somewhere it is not good to mix brands! but figured before it was better to have the full range remote antenna with telemetry instead of the reg remote antenna. Ok to the 3Gx system will the Spectrum Gps sensor work with the 3Gx it says that 3gx can auto pilot and return home. This is what it says (●Support with APS gyro system and bring up more functions for your helicopter. With the APS gyro, the helicopter will have the ability to self stabilize, hold position as well as altitude, and even autonomous way point flights as well as return home.) Or is the APS Gyro something else you have to buy? back to the receiver and 3GX if the JR remote Antenna will work, will i need to have a Receiver hooked to the 3Gx with the Telemetry system with remote antennas, Or is it ok to run the 3Gx as the receiver and Telemetry as Second antenna and run the JR remote antenna?

Align APS Gyro
Aloha, I know this is and old thread. First off I can't figure out how to start a new thread. So let me begin by saying please excuse me.
I am wandering if anyone actually uses the Align APS system? I can't find any recent posts on it anywhere. Also do they still make it? As well as is it junk? Mahalo, in advance |
