What kind of receiver are you running? Did they fix the failsafe (basically lack of one) with spectrum satellites?

Using R6203SB Which is sbus, full range and almost the size of a sat so no failsafe problem here. I have read of the issue with sats and it sure sounds like a real issue to me. But we are diverging here, you can check the GT5 newly created forum for more info and we leave this thread for the nice pics to continue!

Pretty much stock right here, only added an RJX carbon boom, 550 v/stab fin and rear skids spaced out from the frame with washers to accommodate the fin.
I'm very pleased with this build however my kit came with 2 x 0.5mm main shaft spacers and no 0.3mm one(the one i needed) I had to sand down one of the 0.5mm ones to fit.
Other than that everything went together perfectly

I've gotten them from Flying-Hobby and HK for my ESP and HK 500's

They are both the authentic RJX product.
I'd order from flying hobby as they ship much quicker than the King

Wow, which head is this? Looks killer! I was hoping for a lowered DFC head from Align, but this might fit the bill! Looks good and waaaay lower

Here is my first CP heli. Decided to go with a HC Rigid rather than the 3GX till I gain some experience. So far been flying great!

Also added telemetry as I always seem to forget to hit the timer button!

Finally finished with the build! Flight impressions: sooooo much more power than I'm used to. This heli is DIALED in with the VBar, still have to tweak a few settings before I really wring it out. Very impressed with this heli, it's a huge step up from previous T-Rex's I've owned. Now for some pics!

Spent a ton of time wiring this bird!

Very pleased with how it all turned out.

Custom Heli Parts FASST Antenna Support Plate.

Decided to use Mikado Servo Horns for better VBar geometry.
Slick!

Can you spot the phase sensor?

Full-Size VBar stuffed in the back!

Some titanium turnbuckles...

More wiring.

Already added some bling...

The ubiquitous KDE links!

Cut out the webbing in the horizontal stabilizer for a cleaner look.

Some nice reflective blade decals!

Such a smart looking heli

Group shot!

Mike

Are the Mikado servo horns that you used part number 04021? Do they give you significantly better values in the Vbar set up than the standard Align servo horns?

Thanks

Steve

Hey, Steve. Yes, those are it. I originally put them on with the intention of using the inner hole, but my numbers actually weren't that bad using the center hole. The center hole is marginally closer inward than the stock arm, if I had to do it over I would probably use stock. I usually prefer plastic servo arms, but the long ball links combined with no nut on the back end of the threads make me want to use metal arms. I have a set of Quick UK metal Mikado arms on the way.
