Default Trex 250 Pro DFC Tail Pitch Slider

There is a small screw in the blade grip hub, that secures the grips to the shaft, so the slider can move the blades.

The smallest hex driver I can find is a 1.5 which is too big. What do you use to tighten this screw??

Mine came with a hex and a screw driver, but the hex will not fit this screw for some reason.

.9mm

Align sells a set for the 250 - a .9mm and a 1.3mm. The handles are so small that it was difficult to wrench on the heli. Thorp also makes that size which work much better.

Cool, it's good for the skids bolt as well.

Another question concerning this slider.

I got the .09 wrench and tightened the set screw, using Loctite. However it still slips, causing me to lose the tail. It is only held in place by friction, not a flat spot or hole, like the main blades.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?

Are you talking about the Tail Hub on the Tail Shaft. There is a hole at the end of the shaft - here's a picture for the tail replacement gears:

If there's no hole, grind a flat spot in with a dremel.

Thank you, as that explains it. There is no hole in mine. I wondered why there wasn't as that just makes sense.

This is odd. I have done some checking and there are two rear drive set ups. One has no hole and one does.

Mine has a small allen screw. Can that be used with the hole or do you need a longer one?
