Default New 120HV question,

Just bought a new 120hv and got a little more than expected. This one came with an rpm sensor and what appears to be a small battery pack covered in black shrink wrap. The older 120hv i have on my 700e, didnt have either of those two, so I'm a little confused as to the purpose of the battery pack (if in deed that is what it is) Also, im usign it with my first fbl bird that I'm using a sk540 with. On the manual it states the rpm sensor can be used with the vbar, but I have the skookum. Can i still use it some how? If so, as i've never done it before, how do i mount it?

Thanks for any help and advice you can lend,

Little pack is extra capacitors, a good thing to have for various reasons, I heard it improves internal gov performance, which left something to be desired which is why most use that esc with an external gov.

The rpm sensor should work with skookum, attach the 2 wires coming from the red plug to 2 motor wires, servo plug into the fbl gov sensor input.

Okay, thanks for the info. When you stated "2 motor wires", do you mean two of the 3 motor wires that I connect to the esc?

Exactly. Might want to poke around in the Skookum forum for advice on setting up the Gov. Its usually best to do test flights and FBL setup without the governor enabled, just so you dont go chasing problems from improper Gov settings that seem like improper FBL settings.
