Anyone know if this can be used with the Platinum V3? Apparently it works with everything supported by the 2-in-1 LCD box, it seems to be something HK had made as a cheap way to hook up their rebranded Hobbywing ESCs to a PC.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...A_60A_ESC.html

Depending on how the USB interface on the LCD box works it may or may not work with the V3. The box needs to have the latest firmware to work with the V3, but I don't know if that also applies to using it as a PC link. If it's just a UART between the ESC plug and the USB port then it wouldn't care about firmware versions.

Is it possible to use the power leads on the programming connector as an extra power lead from the ESC to a receiver etc?

I am so pissed, I order from Gadget extreme on the 14th, mine still has not left China...

I ordered the program box and a set of batteries the next day, and they both arrived yesterday, but the ESC still shows shipping partner preparing for shipment...

I have ordered from them before, and had no issue, today the tracking shows the package arrived in Chicago last night... but that still means a week or two to get to me, putting the total wait time at near a month, from buy now to opening my box...

Well, Willy answered your question with "". So I would say it does work with 2520.

If Will gives all the ticks for this ESC and I'm sure he will make some videos of this ESC being put under the pump, which I am very keen to see. If this thing passes all the tests, I'm buying 5 of these ESC's and the programming box.

OK step one, add the right connector, a deans in this case... done
Step two find a motor for the set testing... Done
Step three plug in the black box, and run through the settings... Fail, the first thing it does is power up the programer, ohhh pretty blue lights... I hit function, and it says connecting too ESC, then it says update software, and I can't do a thing... Seriously This chits brand new, the programmer and the ESC just came out, and it goes into can't do chit lock out mode on startup...

OK I'm off to search the web for the new software on my new setup...

OK guys back in business! Fairly standard hunt for me, found the data on the NA site
http://www.falconsekido.com/pages/download

Being an old guy, and not being overly smart, it took me a bit to get it installed and figure out the program, but I just needed to update the multi function LED dubber...V1.17_140315

In my search there is a new version of firmware for the 50 that helps it to "play nice with the HK2520 series motor... I will try it as is, and then update as it seems pretty easy to do!

The MFLCD P is pretty cool, wish they would have sized the characters down a little as the voltage check can only display 4 cells at a time... wish all eight could be up at once, since I fly mostly all 6S it's a pain to have to wait for the thing to cycle through total voltage first, then the first 4 cells...

I tested the BEC on my X3 on the bench at 6V and the 7.4, here is a quicky video of the third run trying to brown out the RX ...

Vbar with the Pitch Pump set to 100%

So far it is working great!
