Look for drift pin tool to remove spring pin 2x14 thru tail shaft for tail pulley

I use a small punch and just tap it out.

+1...I also use a 1/16 dia pin punch to tap it out. Try your Ace Hardware. If you don't already have one, while your there, purchase a 4 oz ball pein hammer for tapping it through. 1/16" is just above 1.5 mm dia, so it works perfectly. Clearance fit to the bore size of the thru hole, and easily pushes the pin out or back in. Also works well for the hinge pins on slider mechanism.

I know a few people use an arbor press with an appropriately sized punch. I've considered getting one of those myself.

Just use the back of a 2mm drill and you can tap the pin out without any problems !

The problem I have with tapping them out is keeping the blasted pulley from turning.

Nankin Hobby has them.

Alan also provided a McMaster Carr part number on the forums, a while back-I cannot recall if it was for the 6HV or 7HV, though.

Miniature Aircraft do a nice little tool but it's not hard to make something up yourself. Make sure you use a blunt ended driver though otherwise the roll pin opens out when you attempt to drift it. Always best to use a new roll pin too.

They were for the 500 and the 6HV. I could probably look one up for the 7HV if I knew the length. I assume it's 2mm diameter like the 500 and 6HV?

i have moded the tail shaft like the thunder tiger raptor 30/50. i have drill the and tapped the tail shat in the end and use a 3mm grub screw to secure a plain 2mm pin through the pulley.
