New futaba 14sg on ebay for $100??

Just noticed on ebay. New futaba 14sg selling for $100. Has to be a scam. But I am still tempted.

Two different sellers from what I see.
Both use the exact same description, had 10 available at one point, selling only these, and have a very low positive rating (under 10 and 100%) as a buyer only with nothing related to RC at all.
All transactions for both parties happened at least 6 months ago.....

Something does not seem right, but I really want to pull the trigger.


What to do?

Even more sellers (6 total as of now) popped up with almost identical descriptions as above.
I would really like to upgrade but I think I will pass on this one.

There are now mutiple "Sellers" at $100 a Radio both Heli & AirPlane models. I think they are counting on PayPal to pick up the charges.

there are multiple sellers now.. I figure it's a scam but pulled the trigger on one of the $200 ones.. I've tried multiple times to contact the seller trying to get a response, even offered to make it worth their time to upgrade shipping and provide tracking... I'm sure i"ll get no response.. I used paypal funded by Visa. I'll let you know how this pans out! LOL

the one I chose had 32 positive feedback and 100% rating... however all the feedback except 1 was from over a year ago.. probably a hacked account..

Definitely a hacked account. Just got these in the mail.

Someone else I know, jumped in on that buy. Just hope he don't kiss his $$ goodbye.

I guess he kept dwelling on the fact that someone he knows was gonna give him a 14SG, so he decided that he would spend $100 on one was better.

I had a stepson from hell who used to sell shoplifted leather bags on ebay. Then he figured he would just put up worthless listings and keep the money. He was never contacted by authorities.
A friend of mine who is quite the computer geek was showing me listings on Silkroad last year. How to screw Ebay and paypal by doing exactly what I saw described above.
This world is full of selfish lazy people. They don't eat right, they don't workout and they don't value education.

I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. You pretty much knew to begin with this was a scam. Now to get to the bottom of it. Everyone was sure they could get their money back through pay pal so was just a nice money loan to pay pal. Was probably used on some short term high rate scheme. If you add up all sales it was huge. Who stands to gain on this? Hacking that many accounts that hadn't seen activity in a year must have been inside job. My son researched one and the owner of the account was deceased. Ebay stands to make a lot of free money here just going after the listing and selling fees. Pay pal knows how to squeeze it out of credit card and bank accounts. Account holders can't afford to fight it if it wreaks their credit rating. Next of kin will probably go ahead and pay it not knowing what it was for but just take it out of the estate. I heard ebay is hurting for sales and revenue so might be the blame for this. Win - Win! I for one am going to start a emergency folder for the wife on how to shut down my selling sites and pay pal so this won't happen to me. Feel very sorry for the victims. One reason I pretty much quit selling on ebay and moving to bonanza. Hopefully they have better scruples. I think ebay has turned into a Chinese mindset. This is just my rant and thoughts. Could not see another reason this happened in order to make a profit. Good way to also reduce the old accounts. Has anyone seen other listings like this? No telling how big this has grown.

I have a 14SG. I don't really like it. Does not fit my hands. Stick feel is nothing like my 14MZ. I know it is pretty cheap even at legitimate sellers but don't buy before you try and hold one IMHO. I wish I did.

A cheap DX9 I like a lot better. Fits my hands, stick feel is more comfortable.

You are not getting a 14SG for 100..... that has to be a scam. I paid a LOT more from HeliDirect and I got it on sale with a coupon they advertised.
