Default Problem with Avatars

I use a avatar in other heli forum sites with no problem.
I try to use the same one here and will not work.
It has no animation or any fancy stuff....it's a simple cartoon sketch.
If it is a size problem....how do I shrink it for this site to accept it?

Thanks for any help

Photoshop can shrink it to either 100x100 pixels, or 19.5kb.

Try Microsoft power toys. They have a free easy to use resizer that chances are will be able to shrink your avatar small enough for HF. Alternatively, I think you can use ctrl+w in MS paint to do essentially the same task.

Good luck!

Also, it could just be an unsupported format.

Don't have photoshop.
I'll check out microsoft as suggested.

Where does everyone go to get Avatars without modifing to accept here a helifreak?
And why do other sites accept my avatar?

Thanks again

Some sites size restrictions are different, some bigger, some smaller. Some have only pixel size, some file size, some both. You can scoure the internet for pics, or take one yourself and resize it.

Here is the MS PowerToys page.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Get the image resizer.

All forum operators have different specs on what they accept. A large forum like HF can be killed by a few KB on an avatar.

You can just google for free avatars and go from there.

You can just use Windows Paint program to resize an image.
