Dont beat yourself up too bad, I was doing a pre-flight on my E7 last fall and found I didn't loctite ANY of the tail boom clamps into the frame, and all 8 were backing off

I was doing a post flight check on my X7 and found that I didn't tighten the jesus bolt on the bottom near the main gear. It was hanging on by 2 threads... I had just flown two flights with it and I had left it loose when I built it... Whoops...

These moments always make you take deep breath and think "WHAT IF ?"
I recently took off with my tail control rod link NOT CONNECTED!!! I'd been doing maintenance, and forgot to pop the link back on the tail ball. After I lifted off, it started to spin around, and I just dropped it back down and no damage done. Lucky I didn't lift off with a big dose of pitch. |
