Default WOOT! Got my order in and should ship today :). Specs for ship #1

All-E-RC ROCKS!!!!!!!
Ordered on Sunday, got 2 emails from them replying to my comment on order asking if it was indeed in stock. They said it was and would ship today .
So excited

I think I'm going to hold my JR DS8717 and AR7100 setup for later and another 90(either another Rex700 or Aurora).

So planning on this Rex700
Futaba BLS451's x4(cyclic and throttle)
JR G7703D and 8900G
JR 921 RX
Align 2n1 voltage regulator
Align governer
Radix 710SB cos flaws(thanks Kim for putting up with emails asking about stock)
YS 91ST and Hatori SB16FH pipe

Should provide good thrills for now hehe! Going to keep my 600N pro, and sell the 600N sport. Selling spare 600E GF and Keeping the 600E CF. So will have a few different models to fly , but not too over-crowded.

2nd 90 will get the slightly "better" equiptment
OS 91SZ with iron bay regulator, and either Zimmerman or Funtech pipes
JR 8717's x3 on cyclic and JR8317 on throttle
AR7100 RX

I'm leaning towards and Aurora for the 2nd bird, but we'll see how much I like the Rex700

Sorry if this is a waste of space, but gotta tell someone ehhe!:ch eers

Be careful with the Align 2in1 on that bird. Mine and many others have gone dead mid flight leaving the heli to do the chicken dance in the air until it hit the ground and did the chicken dance again. I went with an 8 volt setup with the 8717's on my Raptor 90se since and love it!

Humm, I already have a set of servos that I plan to use and they're not 8V compatible. What is everyone suggesting as the best solution for 6V regulation. The 6A regulator on both of my 600E's has been flawless but I guess the vibration levels are much less. Maybe I just have to suck up and buy 8717's?

Any suggestions for alternate approaches?

I have 2n1's on my Rex 600's and they have been great.
I think with the Futaba servo's I should be safe. When I run the JR servos I have 2 AR7100's on order and I will use one of those. What servos were you and your friends using when you went "dead" mid flight

I was running 8717's on cyclic and the JR 8900 on the tail. The 2 in 1 just turned off. After bypassing the switch the regulator will turn on so I think the little cheesy switch didn't like my 90 size vibrations! Trying out some A123's on the receiver this weekend at 6.6 volts so we'll see how that works on the 90.

well 2 possible causes IMO
#1 Ron Lund put up a post about corrision in the 2n1 and possible fixes.
#2 the 8717's might have over-amped the unit and caused it to overheat or fail?

I know some use the 2n1 with 8717's wtih no problem, but IMO it's probably pushing the edge of safety with the unit design in amp output etc... The Futaba don't draw as many amps so not as much worry there. The corrosion worry might be something to consider, so maybe I'll poke around inside the switch unit first prior to mounting. Mine's been fine though, so might just leave well enough alone. I have it mounted on a velcro pad though, so maybe that's absorbing some vibes too. This has been on a TREX600N up till now though.
