Yes they will

Make sure you level the swash and do a zero pitch setup after installing the new swash.

Thanks, I'll give those settings a go. Excuse my ignorance but how do I do a zero pitch set up?

Thank you, seems easy enough.
I've got myself in a right mess at the moment trying to change my Swash.
Can't work out how far down the shaft it should sit. Also didn't realise I need a special tool to change the head and blade grips.

Hi Ron,
I'm trying to follow your tame settings for DX6i but I have a DX6 and the input menu seems to be completely different. Is it me being thick?
Very interesting thread though, that guy just couldn't get the fact that you were trying to help the new guys, I could see the frustration in your replies.
I once posted a question about my 230 s and it turned into a free for all about them not being any good and people who brought them weren't learning to fly properly. Thankfully there are a lot of people on here like you that remember how hard and confusing it is when you start out. All we want at first is to get off the ground and fly, and any help to get there is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mick.

I don't think it's you being thick. Transmitters have become very complicated and it takes a while to learn what the functions do and how to navigate the menus. I myself fly my blade products with an older DX7. I'd still fly my old DX6i if the roller wheel did not keep messing up. Loved the menu system and the way it worked. Took me a year to get the DX7 straight in my head. Then I had to get Futaba out of my head and learn the Aurora 9 language. In order to keep fly cost down I fly a lot of older used stuff. My larger helicopters, I fly a Hitec Aurora 9. Love it but it was a bear to learn.

I remember seeing a DX6 but I have never put my hands on one. I guess the first thing I'd have to do is shut the voice off. Could not stand the squawking yap yap yap every time I touched it. About the 2nd time it yapped, I'd feed it to the fishes. Anyway back to the topic at hand.

The only advice I could offer would be to sit down and start reading the DX6 manual. Shut voice off. Turn click volume down low.

You have to learn Spectrum language and start pushing buttons. It will take a little time to get all menus straight in your head and understand the mode switching, but if you learn how to create and delete a model first you can create edit and get rid of models as you learn, in the end it will be worth it. Search for DX6 tutorials and watch a few. Fallow along step buy step with your TX until you can pick it up program a model without thinking about it. That's the only way.

Learning the language?
Spectrum, Futaba, JR and most manufacturers have different words
for some of the basic functions, other words seem universal.

You need to take care here. if you drop parts they are small and hard to find

Slip the gear off the bottom and pop the lower links off the swash. slip the main shaft out the top of the heli with the head on. You will need to pull the anti rotation bracket back a bit to get the swash pin out, Pop the upper links off the swash. Slip the new swash on the shaft, Pop on upper links and set it down. Pull the main shaft bearings and silicone them while you have the helicopter apart. Make sure the pin is in the bracket when you slip the shaft with new swash back into frame.

Re install the bearings.
Slip the shaft back into the frame and snap on lower links.

The height of the swash is determined buy the lower links and servo position. Just do the swap as above and you will be fine.

Then look at zero pitch.
Just enter 0 25 50 75 100 pitch curve on hold switch.
Line up the mid stick graduation marks on your transmitter and see if the
blades are flat or have pitch on them.

Mcpx 0 pitch setup (4 min 42 sec)

Just remember, if you need to adjust the swash height. Turn all 3 links the same number of turns in the same direction and you will be fine.
If you need you can PM me your phone # and I can call you.

on my part, pretty the same. lift-off, hover then hit idle1....
cps is all over my living room. then hits something then crash.
so I found an idea,
spool up on stab mode, and at just below mid-stick( with some neg pitch still going). I hit idle1 then take OFF!
with this, I can predict where the heli's gonna go.
then the little tads of cyclic. viola! in the air!!
I do this on sim too.
I'm a noob myself.
also, might help playing with your D/R for your liking.
I'm on second cps.
