Default 300cfx

I still fly mine , just got done with total rebuild, lynx motor, castle 35, 360 cfx main gear 11 tooth pinion and Hiterc 5055 servos kst 215 v3 on tail. I love it . Snow is getting deep and temps are in 20's heading for teens. Can't get to the field without getting stuck, my clubs flying field is literally a field and not plowed. Great heli can fly it as is but need to change servos at very least. Lynx plastic blades have more pop than stock .

Yes it fits and really quiets it down, a lot of the parts from blade 450 3d ,450x 300cfx and 270 are interchangeable.

does the 360cfx main gear fit on the metal hub better?

I'm sick of reaming out the center mounting hole to make it fit the hub. Then every time it wobbles up and down on pinion.

It fits the same. If you can get the bolt out , it should go in without reaming sometimes is hard to get it aligned. I wouldn't change the hole diameter. I have a hard time getting the hole to align on my 500x it's pain. Once I get it aligned I put a screw driver in the hole to keep everything aligned while I put the main gear back in the helicopter, when I try and get the main shaft in I remove the screwdriver and the one way bearing shaft will spins alignment is off and I can't get the bolt in and have to start all over.

i'm almost willing to go back to strait cut after i use up the helical gears just due to the fact they fit very bad. the stock main gear fits like a dream.

i have used lynx and blade helical gears. none fit well...

I don't know maybe try a different pinion, mine fits well and is much quieter. This my first total rebuild upgrade and everything is working well so far, like I said I always liked this heli but I love it now

it's not the pinion its the main gear hub. most people i talk to already know about this.

This is what i'm talking about -

The 450V2, 270CFX, 300CFX & 360CFX can all use the same gear just change the pinion

I picked up a 300CFX so cheap that I paid more for a new mCPX when they first came out, same with my 450x v2..

I remember that every time someone says to just get a Oxy3.

My assumption is, if one gets to fly good with a 300cfx, then flying an oxy3 will be easy.

If this assumption is true, once I feel at ease with flying the 300cfx, then it will be time to build my oxy 3 and fly it to the edge of my skills.

so I was replacing my motor last night. and found when I installed the helical pinion it was not sitting centered when the set screw was tight. then i found that it doesn't have the same I.D. as the old pinion.

Well I bought a 300cfx last year only got to fly it 2 or 3 times so far but really liked the way it felt and flew. Did not get to fly it but once this year because of being so busy only flew once period. I bought it so I could start working on some 3d but hasn't happened yet lol. Some day soon hopefully
