That depends on the model, motor, esc and gearing. I try to gear my helis to get my desired headspeed at 75% flat throttle. Things seem to run cool and bogging is kept to a minimum. That's with YGE/YEP esc's in gov store mode.

Default 450 headspeed

Enter all the info for your Heli here and it will give you a range that you can run with your current setup. If you want more or less headspeed you can figure out what pinion to get. There's a fairly wide range ppl run. Some want lower headspeed/longer run time while others want high headspeed/short flights

When I had a 450pro I think I ran it around 3100

What head speed you looking for? Looking at Castle link I'd be installing a 12T and run 2800 - 3000

It depends on how you want to fly. I have run from 2800-3600.

I looked at his stats, I don't think he is going to want 3600 yet,
I like 3300, no less.

Understandable. There is a range where the heli will fly better, in regards to cyclic authority and tail authority. You can then tune it in the fbl to the flight characteristics you would like. Having it geared correctly for your headspeed does make a big difference in efficiency, running temps, and flights times.

Fly! You just need to fine tune the cyclic gain.
What's the motor KV? 3200, 1:11 ratio?
The only thing is Control Style B is best set to TX mode and then use the rates and expo in the TX to your feel.

I think that is a good range. I aim for about 2800 on a 360mm blade heli. That has plenty of power for sport and aerobatics.

Yes it's 3200. Ratio what ya mean by that still working on terminology. It's actually a 12t after all counted 6 times. The cyclic gain in beastx correct.

The ratio that he is referring to is the pinion to main gear. Divide your total teeth on the main gear by the teeth on your pinion.

Thought so, no way with 11 tooth pinion.
How are you setting this up lf you don't didn't the ratio?
The cyclic gain, pot 1 on the BX will need fine turned. Try in all 3 modes. Too low drift and sloppy feeling, too high cyclic rocking, feeling locked in and stable just right.
