batteries

what batteries we all looking to run..?

i have two 730 mah prolites sitting around doing nothing. they only wiegh around 30 grams! not sure how well they will hold up 3D, but its worth the try.

looking at the specs we see now Align is recommending 850 3s. the OUTRAGE 800mah packs come in at 65 grams!

anyone have any light cheap packs out there they will use?

I'll probably use Revolectrix 3S 750 or 950 packs.

i've been using gaui 800 mAh batteries and they have served me well. i get 4:30 on my gaui 200, and after 160 or so flights, only one went bad out of four. i wish outrage made a 800 mAh battery that was shorter. i was very impressed with my outrage 6S 2500 mAh i have for my hurricane 425. that is the best battery i have used to date.

ive just purchased 4 outrage 3s 2200 packs for my 450 to replace my thunder power and flight power packs. after a few flights i can really tell these lipos have great power. now i need a better motor!

i may give zippys a try. cheap, heard good things, and if they go bad oh well the price cant be beat

all of these packs you guys are listing are twice the weight as the TP prolites..

any other lite packs out there?

TP prolite 910mah might be the ticket

I like the look of those $10 zippys. I can buy 5 and fly all day.

my thought precisely. even if they are crap and you get only 30-40 cycles, you can buy 3 times the quantity for same price as outrage or FP.

Outrage R/C 3s 800 65g

Not quite half as light. Plus, the TP Pro-Lites max continuous discharge is 14C to the Outrage's 25C.

So... One of the Zippys is 36mm wide... Does anyone else think that may be too wide? On the other hand, the other one looks too tall at 23.5mm... I wonder if that'll fit too. Can anyone guestimate from the current Trex 250 pictures what will fit?

ya, i have the same concerns. from looking at the pictures posted and the vids (especially this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86Oj84pY3g0&NR=1), it looks like the shorter fatter ones (54x30x23.5) are being used.

how about these lipos? i hear the zippy rhino version is better than their regular version. it's 100 less mah but i don't think flight time will be much less.

So if you looking at packs with similar sizes and weight you should be pretty safe!
