I'm planning on getting some lipos and connectors in advance and noticed that the RCE-BL15X ESC has the JST connector pre-soldered for the lipo. Are those connectors strong enough for the amount of amps going through the system? Do they need to be deans (or mini-deans)?
I've had a number of bad experience with this type of connector (connector melting, shorting, etc.) on larger brushless system. Not sure what type of amps go through these little guys. |

Just chop them off and go with Deans. That is what I plan on doing.

wonder why align would put such a low amp connector? maybe they are trying to cut cost or overall system draws very low voltage? |

The Gaui 200 runs just fine on the JSTs even with a modded motor.
The dont get hot at all and with over 400 flights on 4 gaui batts and 2 gaui 200s Ive had no issues. |
