Default T250 ESC (crappy connector?)

I'm planning on getting some lipos and connectors in advance and noticed that the RCE-BL15X ESC has the JST connector pre-soldered for the lipo. Are those connectors strong enough for the amount of amps going through the system? Do they need to be deans (or mini-deans)?

I've had a number of bad experience with this type of connector (connector melting, shorting, etc.) on larger brushless system. Not sure what type of amps go through these little guys.

Just chop them off and go with Deans. That is what I plan on doing.

thanks for the link! i'll definitely have to change them out for the deans then.

wonder why align would put such a low amp connector? maybe they are trying to cut cost or overall system draws very low voltage?

The Gaui 200 runs just fine on the JSTs even with a modded motor.

The dont get hot at all and with over 400 flights on 4 gaui batts and 2 gaui 200s Ive had no issues.

go micro deans.. i think they are rated up to 12 amps. i dont think this little guy will pull more than 10 amps on the stock setup.
