Default My 600N conversion

Hey guys, I have seen a ton of different ways to convert the 600N for flybarless and figured I would share mine as well. I used metal servo arms to extend the links from the head. The ball is from a 500 since they had the correct threads for the spacers I used. The spacers are made from some spare part I had from a heli I had years ago. I think it was from a shuttle. Anyway, it was threaded on the inside, much like a feathering shaft, but had an "E" clip on it. I cut two the two ends off and used those.

I haven't had a chance to fly it yet but I have the SK360 setup and everthing looks good. Hopefully I can later if I can get the nerve up.

I flew it for a few minutes and all went well. I need to do some tweaking to get it to fly the way I want but I think I am going to really like it. One thing that surprised me is how much different the heli sounded. I guess those paddles make more noise than I thought.

I did my second flight with it today. I loaded the 3D setting into it and it flew great. I have never flown a heli so responsive, yet stable, at the same time. I was having a ball but had to cut the flight a little short. I did a fast flip and heard a funny noise. What looked like black confetti was falling from the heli. It was flipping so fast I thought the blades had flexed and hit something. I couldn't figure out what it could be and the heli was still flying fine with no vibration. I landed it and noticed the windshield had came off and hit the blades. Actually from the sound of it I think it hit the tail blades. Nothing besides the windshild was damaged though.

Congrats Mike! Amazing what a difference flybarless makes isn't it?
I LOVE the solidity of the heli with the SK360. LOCKED!

Good luck with it and ENJOY!

Yeah, I sure am enjoying it. I tried to do the conversion so it would be easy to convert back if I decided I liked the flybar better. I seriously doubt I will be doing that now.
