Over all I am impressed with the heli, Its stable in a hover and is also an ultra capable 3d machine. So far the 3 axis gyro system is awsome, the tail is solid and the hover is more stable than my old 400. One thing i forgot to do was pull off the grips an redo the factory loctite job on the grip bolts before I flew it, so on the second pack it chucked a grip, but nothing was lost or damaged so with a little loc-tite and a couple of twists of the wrench she was up and away again. One thing I origionally overlooked was to set up the servos directions and enpoints BEFORE installing the gyro, so my first few attempts at flying it was nothing more than it constantly listing right on the ground or having no cyclic control once its was airborne, but after I did the correct set up its been smooth sailing from there. The heli is also quite durable, I found this out during my initial attempts at flying before I corrected the set up, I must have bounced it off of walls and the floor about six times and nothing but a set of landing gear broke and a grip bolt bent. This heli is also very light, all up w/batt it is a full 2oz. lighter than the T-rex 250, which, in a heli this size and weight ( 9.8 oz all up ) is a huge difference. This is a great heli for anyone looking to get into the 200-250 class, and with that my batts done chargin' Im gonna go fly!

nice review ! Do you also have a V1 to compare it to in terms of stability and precision ? That's my biggest question about the V2 atm.
I have a T-rex 250 and at first I thought that the 2 oz extra the 250 had was going to hinder it greatly, but with the right blades the stock 3s setup has way more power than the stock gaui 200 2s setup . I haven't tried to the align carbons on them yet but the Gaui 200 does have a lot faster flip/ roll rate.

Stability in comp to the V1 is a little better but the tail is much better built and the head is more durable and tighter than the V1. The trex250's power is comperable to the Gaui, as is stability in the flybared ver, but cyclic input seems to be faster on the Gaui than the rex, as you pointed out

I would agree, also the hardware on the Gaui is better, Ive broken many a bolts on the trex but the Gaui's hardware can be wrenched on much more without stripping or breaking.

I don't have a v2 to compare it to but power systems are the same and power wise the T-rex 250 has more power than the gaui 200. With the carbon blades it feel like the G200 does on the 5150 for 4:00 minutes with cool batteries instead of the 2;30 to 3:30 i got with the 5150 and hot batteries. Cyclic on the Gaui 200 is no doubt a lot faster than the T-rex 250 Although 16 tooth with carbon blades really does bring it up to a level closer to the Gaui 200. The 250 feels a lot more stable and precise espcially on the plastic blades than the gaui 200 v1.. Almost wish I had a gaui 200 V2 so I can do a direct comparision to the 250. Only thing I don't like about the 250 is the cheap screws on it , which for some reason is a problem on most of align helis . @_@ . Simple enough to change them out but wish they would come stock with better screws.. At least I'm not getting pre bent shafts and parts like I was on my Gaui 200 that was a real pita. Btw did they fix that issue yet ?

Would you recoomened going for the FES version over the fly bar V2 Se ?
I want it mainly for 3D and I dont want to be contantlytly fiddling with the FES system.

I'm not to sure about the gaui FES ( gu-365) . A member a while back made a review and basically said he liked the sk-360 over the gu-365. Though any FES system will require at least a little fiddling around with to get it flying good.;p

I have an FES V2 it did take a bit of fiddling to get it to fly well but once dialed in it its awesome for sport flying and light 3D, If you want a real heavy 200 class 3d flier I would go with the fly bared version definitely. The gaui system does work better on larger helis I have used the system on 450's and 500's and it works well with those ( best on 450 for whatever reason )
