Default where to mount the gyro?

besides the obvious, The gyro has a sticker marked: top, of course pointing to the top face of the gyro, can this still be mounted upside down on the gyro mount? It's the assan ga410 gyro. on a sjm180. Thanks

A gyro can be mounted upright, or upside down if it has a direction switch on the gyro.

The only thing really critical is the gyro axis is aligned perpendicular with the main shaft.

If there's no NOR/REV switch on the gyro then you actually reverse the gyro by flipping it over like the old days. Thats a junk copy of the 401 so I think its got the nor/rev switch.
