Talking Intrepid and Motor HERE

The Intrepid Gasser kit showed up yesterday, a day early. Of course that was overshadowed by the death of one of our dogs. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=113929

Motor showed up from Hanson today.

I shot a what's in the box video for the heli and motor.

Not a lot of parts for such a bit heli. But the canopy is HUGE, about the size of a Trex 450 (which I show in the video).

Cool that you got your kit. I am putting together a Tazer now myself, it is a lot of fun. Great quality machines. Bergen Baby!!

Terry, the crosshole is used to tighten the canopy mount... Insert an allen werench or something through the hole and twist!

Sorry, I was on the phone with Troy Giles, the Utah State Trooper and couldn't get to ya...

That's what I figured, and what I did.

LITHIUMSTATIC, I am doing build videos.

So far, lower frames together, on the gear and motor in place.

Sweet...yeah, Chris could send 'em in much smaller boxes if it weren't for the canopies. When I got my EB kit and saw the size of that canopy, I thought HOLY......
Now, don't spend too much time on the build video...more time on the flight video.

Terry,

Now, make sure you follow those directions to the letter. Don't forget the new geometry for the elevator servo wheel. It's 0.56MM off center and 8.32MM from wheel center to ball center! With that set up there will be absolutely no binding of the push pull linkages along the entire travel range. It does work BTW.

I'll be checking those dimensions when I see your video!

Lou

Thanks for the thoughs on Blaze. She is really missed.

I will doublee check the wheel dimensions here and the other thread Chris posted in, when I get to that stage.

Chris, time to make a jig for drilling these wheels. When you make dimensions like 8.32 mm.

They're not mine, Mal did 'em. I beleive in giving credit where credit is due!!

Truth is, For the Aileron, I use the large JR wheel, and find the 2 holes that closely match the dimensions.

For elevator, I use the small JR wheel and find 2 inside holes that closely match the dimensions.

They aren't up yet, but the first batch will be up by the end of this weekend.

I will warn you, that work is going to catch up with me and there will be a break in finishing the heli and videos.

The worst thing is Skiddz is probably going to make it to first flight before I do.

It takes a bit longer to build, when doing the videos. Plus, you then need to edit and compressing the videos.

And we have a thing called winter, with SNOW. And now work is going to intrude.
