Pulled the trigger again!

I put the HK450 up at my desk and a guy down the hall saw it. I found out he is an avid heli flyer in the local heli club. He talked me into joining the club and then gave me a deal I could not refuse on a Trex 600 nitro so I just bought it! Oh man is it big. He sold it because it was his smallest heli and never flew it. It only has 20 flights on it and has a GY611 gyro and OS Hyper 50 engine. Oh man did I mention it is big!

Dear lord, his SMALLEST? Good grief! To me, a 600 is HUGE...and those blades...intimidating. I could see this lobbing off my head!! It demands much respect!

Yeah I still remember the first time I took my 600's main blades out of the box when setting it up, I just started laughing, one blade was longer than the entire span of the 400... enjoy it

I suppose after last year's B400.. and this upcoming years 450 and 500.... I too will probably pull the trigger for a 600E. Never nitro for me. Nearest possible place to fly in 1 hour away minimum. Very tight rules in the Twin Cities MN... and very few places for electric too

Your in trouble now ! Make room for more. I started with a Blade cp..then Ae cp then got a deal on a 30 raptor which led to my Gaui 200 and Blade 400 then T-rex 250 and 600nsp and just last sunday i sold the 250 and blade 400 and got a T-rex 450 . Will it ever stop

I seriously had no intention of getting another heli and I am totally clueless on nitro stuff. I have a lot of reading to do and another Heli Freak group to subscribe to. This thing will be sitting for quite a while till I get a handle on it. Its scary big!

A 3D guy from my club had both 500e and 600e, and he said the 500e is far better than the 600e. 600e is too much of a pig. The 500e has just the right power/weight ratio for having the most fun for the buck.

Please let me know when your coworker decides to unload the next smallest heli in his fleet. If he's passing out deals like this then I will definitely join the local flying club, even though it's about a 2000 mile drive that I'd never make.

I've heard the same thing. Would be best to run more cells but that leads to more money. The lipo industry is changing though and packs are getting more reasonable.
