The question is Why 6s. I think 6s is too much. 4s is plenty for a 450 class heli (no matter what kind of flying you have). I have been flying for two years a Trex 450 se + jazz + neu 1107/2y with 2100 prolite/Align 2100 16c 4s (180-190g pack). I've got a 5-6 minute flight while respecting the 80% rule, nothing is hot, I can fly continuously. My pack last more than 2years and WAYYYY more than 100 cycles.

pitounet until you've flown a 6S 450 you wouldn't understand ...

I'll leave it at that since there's no need to hijack this thread, there are many others about 6S setups in 450s.

For vimeo videos you only need the clip ID which is the series of numbers.

Hi Guys,

Here is my 450PRO. Built with Spektrum AR7000 recv, JR287MG cyclic servos, JR3500G rudder servo, JR7703D gyro, CCBEC.
Very, very tight fit. I will have to re-wire for a cleaner look for sure now that my test flying has been done. Took long to make everything fit but the reward is having it fly.
Also testing with shorter tail blades...
Very cool machine...

Is that a heat sink on your motor there? From what I hear about that motor gettin hot, that seems like a really good idea.

HI there

Ive just finished my pro build......and as other have said.....it a VERY solid heli and goes together very easy......however the wiring is a nightmare........

Managed a couple of packs through it today......on the second pack went for some inverted flight (which is brave for me at test flight stage) the pro is VERY stable and very powerfull....similar to a trex500 with a decent lipo on it. It makes a great noise aswell...bit like a real angry wasp

....

The tail combo of algin gyro and align DS520 servo is totally locked in.......doesnt even twitch when doing hard collective moves like tic-tocs......

dr_cheeks, I highly recommend strapping your gyro with some velcro. A local pilot came in to land his 500 after a flight and when he was 2 feet from the pad his gyro tape came loose and his gyro was hanging. You can imagine what happened next, and it wasn't even when he was flying and taking chances, that hurt to watch. I bought some straps that day ans strapped the rest of my gyros.

Here's my new heli. Just about drove it in the ground today on its third flight...

Anyway, as you can see, I didn't use any of the original electronics other than the gyro. Specs are in my signature.

The heli is pretty much unboggable and more stable than my V2. Wiring sure was a PITA...

If you think that is fast then try a couple of ThunderPower ProPower 3s 1350mAh packs in series. In my Rave with 350mm blades and the same 2221-1630 motor I get no less than 3200rpm on a full collective punchout, peaking at 689W. With an AUW of 925g, my power to weight ratio is more 740W/Kg.
