Question Magnets?

Guys, been trying to find my answer but have no luck.

Are the six magnets a must? If so, why?

Thanks

Use 6 magnets ONLY if you are using the Align RCE-G600. The RCE-G600 operates between 10500 and 21000 rpms and because we designed the RCDN500 with the magnets mounted onto the main gear and not to the fan, 6 magnets are needed for the RCE-G600 to work properly.

You must mount all six magnets, the side which the sensor reads, up.

I'm using a Throttle Jockey with 6 magnets. Works like a charm

After much testing, we found that using 6 magnets mounted to the main gear do not provide for consistent RPM. We suggest that you use the Spektrum sensor from the AR7100r to govern the RPM.

Please see these posts:

These are the parts to use:

If you can only use the magnets, here is a picture of the magnets on the main gear
