The itemnumber is H60054T and they are straps for the T-rex 600. I've just bought a few at Fast-Lad.co.uk . Try a search on google, this is really common stock, maybe even your LHS has them.

how do you use them on a 500? I have one of those straps, but can't get it to work on the 500, way too long and because its velcro, you can't cut it down.

Here is what I like to use. McMaster-Carr has it in different colors, widths and lengths. Just cut off the length you want. For Trex 500 batteries I prefer the 5/8" width, although various other widths work just as well. The two rolls pictured are from my latest order and each one is 15 feet long. Thirty feet of hook and loop, enough for quite a while.

i only want to use one and one mounted like that I don't think would hold. I really hate the 500 straps, anyway to save a buck I guess.

I got frustrated trying to find just the right length straps for my 450 and 500. I ordered the JR straps from RCHover and waited for 4 or 5 weeks because they were backordered (their website said they were in stock ). Anyway, I finally ordered something like 30 ft of hook & loop as well as a bunch of plastic cinch loops. If you can sew even a little bit, you can make exaclty what you want, when you want it. All of the raw material to make tons of straps cost me something like $20 and now I've got straps exactly as I like them. If I buy a different battery (different size) I can just make another one. Gotta love that.....

This is where I got my stuff: http://www.strapworks.com/ProductDet...?ProductCode=V

Allthough I understand your way of thinking, with a nice piece of velcro between the lipo and battery tray AND using one 600 strap the pack won't go anywhere, it fits like a rock. I made a picture of mine:

Default Cutting down straps

I purchased some of the "Puretech" straps and they ended up being way way too long. After thinking about it for a while I decided that instead of letting them sit in my flight box I would try cutting them down to size. It actually has worked out great. I'm not sure what style of straps you have but the Puretechs have a nonvelcro webbing section connected to the plastic cinching loop. I cut out a section of the webbing and lap glued the strap back together with contact cement. When I want something to stick for sure I usually resort to contact cement, not the water based version.

Cutting the straps down actually has worked really well as I could custom make the straps the length that works the best on my EXI 500CF. I have one strap that goes around the battery and through the frame and around the ICE 75 esc. The other strap just goes around the battery and the nose of the battery tray with the balance harness under it.

Hope this helps! Curt
