Hi. First time post. I've been lurking for a little bit. I'm a really* new pilot :|
I was thinking of replacing the stock gyro and have seen mentions of both the Assan GA-410 from HobbyCity as well as the G401B mystery gyro. Are there any thoughts on one vs. the other (or are they both worthless and I should be looking at another one?). What benefits will I get from upgrading to any gyro over the stock one? |

If what you are buying is not a lot better then stock only to upgrade again later so don't waste your hard earned. False economyies and all that.
The Blade is a really a good little starter and the only two items to upgrade are the cyclic servo which don't last and the tail that needs pinning down solid. A good tail set you only buy once so buy good. The Logitech Combo comes highly recomended, I use the Align GP750+DS420 combo works great and only set me back £104.64 inc shipping ($172), good value in my opinion. Hope this helps ![]()

there are alot of people useing the g401b, they are saying you need atleast a .07sec servo for it to affective though. i would do the g401b over the assan.

I have the g401b and I use it with a HS 65MG 0.12 sec. It works fantastic. I am not into 3D or HS tail first flight but it holds a lot better than the 110 . My son has a G240 on his 400 with a HS 65 and he says mine holds as well as his. My cost less than $40 and his cost about $100 more.
Go here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=956825 there is a massive threrd on this gyro and many very happy users. First post list tested / compatible servos. Hint: gyro sensitivity setting lead must be connected or it will not work. You must set gain in the transmitter and it does not use the less than 50 / more than 50 rule. I mention this as the instructions are vague and you must download them from the website. Last edited by everydayflyer; 06-17-2009 at 02:25 PM.. |

I have two G401B's and they work much better than the G110, about as good as my Logictech 2100T.
