The Finless video doesn't apply to the RDS 8000 as it uses mixing schemes not SWASH AFR like the radios that Bob is using.

What heli are we discussing?

i just started doing servo alignment and swash work on the hk 450 from hobby city.
also have a cnc helicopter in the build hanger after i cut my teeth.
i also noticed when i was working with it that when i flipped the right mode switch between 1,2,3. the swash would move vertically up and down a tad; how to cure this? or is this normal

sorry for the questions. planes i can flip through the rds like no tommorrow. now im trying heli and im completely lost

doh. figured out the swash movement when i throw the mode switch.
its adjusted with the mode button in the sub menu not by throwing the mode switch.

ok home from work. i think i worked it out. swapped servo connections in the rx did a reverse here and there and it looks like its working.
ended up pushing up the pitch to 125 percent and still have more travel available. going to move it back to 100 and lengthen the arms to get more of it done mechanically. atleast that is what i think is the best approach
since this is my first attempt at heli. i can only hope the next copter (cnc3dx450) wont have difficulties. eventually want to get to a protos. has someone used an rds on the protos?
but by then hopefully ill have the coin for the 10c
