Must be some resonance.. try increasing your headspeed by 10% on each position?

I hope you are not trying to fly with the training gear ...

Training gear is for training on the ground, not for in the air. The first 10 batteries your helicopter should not lift off, that's when you can use the training gear to learn to control it on the ground, preferably on a slippery surface like a wood gym floor.

Think about the downwash on the training gear, if the gear is not perfectly symetrical (even on both sides) then your heli will be very difficult to fly.

What sim are you using?

The point of training gear is learning how to take off and land... I would suggest the same a as slyster check your blade tracking, any vibrations are sure to be worse with gear.

If you've got the gain on the tail a tad high, even the smallest of wags don't half show up in the training gear... don't really see anything wrong with having them on for learning nose in on the heli. Might just save a dumb-thumb moment if you're landing that way!

Why don't you practise nose in hovering on the sim until it becomes natural to you, then get some height and try it in real life. You can either just make a halve piro or make a halve figure 8 so that the heli flies towards you, then slowly slow it down and you'll be hovering nose-in

hello,
maybe a lot of people managed to learn in few fly(+a lot of sim.).... But, to feel safe, i used to learn with this training gear (no resonance, only ~ 15$ ) and it helped me to avoid a lot of crash( around 80$ each!)

when i started to feel comfortable with the héli, i played with the training gear (landing exactly // to the ground, trying to find maximum angle ...)

and then took it of..... and never use it again.

of course i don't pretend this is the only way...

I hope that these photos will be enough to help you....
the circle is a one piece 2000 mm long(GF) and the carbon pipe are 690 mm(one 1500mm Carbon pipe cut i two!).... all dimension are standard.

I just stuck it in the skid, thanks to the flexibility of both the skids and the circle.

... and then.....to assemble

that's all
hope it's enough ... if not, don't hesitate, ask.

Try your local kite shop, they should have all the items you need.

I got this simple setup from xheli.com where I got my 500. Cost $6.00. You see a Trex 500 main gear peeking out from under the canopy and a home made 1/16" aluminum tail servo plate for a Hitec HSG 5084 MG.

I made my own from parts from the LHS and target for the balls..

If the shafts are too long then it will vibrate, so maybe thats your problem and why the heli is vibrating, shorten them a tad and try..

I got away with making mine much longer than the above post

but basically, got two long carbon fiber hollow shafts, balls (much muhc bigger than the above post) from target, and I cut a rectangular piece of wood and drilled holes on all four corners and stuf the shafts in the holes.
