I just pulled my Nexus 30 off the shelf after years. I replaced the Futaba FP-S138's with some S3004's. I put a new Futaba Gyro and high speed servo on the rudder. I am running all that with a 4.8V NiCad.

I did a full check on all the linkages and balanced the blades. Head speed came up just fine with no vibration noticed. Lifted off with, again, no vibration. But whenever I input any cyclic I get a wobble which appears to be around the center axis. I thought it was tail wag at first but it's not.

I am thinking it may be due to the low torque/speed servos or maybe the linkages are too tight.

Any thoughts?

BTW I have been flying a Blade 400 for over a year. Loved it when this beast lifted off and just hung there.

When mine would wobble around the center, it was a low head speed. I run mine at 1800 rpm. I was actually able to get it to lift with a head speed of 1450.

Does the fly bar move flybar move freely?

I fly mine with Airtronics 94102 servos, they are about the same as the 3003's.

I recently just bought a used Nexus 30 against my better judgement. I like projects though. I need main blades, landing skids and a rear rotor box (or the whole rear rotor setup). does anybody have one of these to be parted out? Can I use any blades from any any heli as long as they are the right length?

I have a Nexus 30 that I am looking to sell. I dont have the skills to fly this bird. I have went over the bird and tried to check everything and make sure it was in flyable condition still. Could probably use a pitch check. The landing skids are in kinda rough shape. All servos are FUTABA FPS148. NO GYRO, TX , or RX.
