Does it make a difference if I go with 25C lipos vs 30C? Lookin at pickin up a few turnigy's for a Pro Im about to buy. The 30C are only $2 more and about 20 grams heavier.

HUGE difference.... When I went from 25c to 30c the heli came to life. Go 30C for sure

If you have the choice, get the 30C.

I have both of those turnigy batteries and you cant tell the difference in flight (they both kick out a 3500 HS with about the same power degradation through the flight). The C ratings done by HC are very arbitrary. For example I had great performance from the rhino 20c batteries, the rhinos actually kick out the same HS as my TP 30c batteries and the rhinos actually went twice as long without puffing.

I bet the difference wasn't from the C rating but the age of the lipos you came from.

30 grams heavier?? Is that a typo? A little less internal resistance will not make up for an extra 30g of weight.

What sort of flying do you do?
going from 25 to 30 will increase your top end but if all you do is forward flight (not that there's anything wrong with that) then it may be a waste..

I've just picked up some fp eon x 30's and there is a huge difference between them and the fp evo 25's but I also think it's the fact that they are new because I just picked up an Align 2150 25c pack and even that is much more powerfull than my old evo 25's.
If it's only pennies more I'd go for the 30's though. |

Big difference for me when I went from 25c to 30c, its easy to tell the difference, like said if your just flying around rolling and flipping invert hover you wont feel the difference, but 30c and up gives higher headspeed when under load than 25c and under, try a 4 point tic toc when you get tail down or nose down it requires a little more power, and when you have that extra it makes them easier to do, 25c and under you can still do it but the heli will need to be more at a deeper angle to keep it in the 4 points.
