Just something I noticed and probably could benefit you guys some. When I fly and am trying something I have little practice doing, I get a case of the shakes lol, you guys know what I'm talking about!
Most of the time this leads to rough flying where the heli looks like it's shaking as much as my hands lol. I am at the stage where I'm starting to do slow FF, stopping at each end, hovering for a bit, then flying to the opposite end. I noticed that the shaking was really impacting my control. So for the last few packs I went out with the mind set of "so what if I crash?" and WOW! The shakes have been reduced so much and my FF is looking pretty smooth! So for those who suffer from this debilitating illness, my prescription is to have a stern talk with your heli. Let it know that it's disposable, maybe rough it up a bit, then go have some fun! ![]() |

Know just what you mean GT-R - I suffer from the shakes before and during my first CP flight of the day. But never with the FP as I just don't care - because I know if I dumb thumb it, it just bounces
One of the advantages of a computer Tx with my CPs is you can dial in some expo - 10% works fine for me - then even though my thumbs tremble the heli doesn't

Hey GT-R, I know what you mean and when I got first the K2 I'd have a beer to calm me down, now the beer money goes for parts/new radio/pretty cnc parts/batt's/ another helio/ parts for it/ more pretty things for the helio's, and no money for beer, so why do I still shake some?? Guess it is that I'm old and wore out, but having a blast with these helio's, You will find you have good days and bad days with them, dial up some expo on the tx it does help. Fly Tight-

Good morning!
I too have found that "attitude" and/or "state of mind" seems to play a great part in a successful flight at least for me. I've learned the hard way that if I'm preoccupied with some other issue or "tense" or certainly "angry" about something, that's a "poor" time to fly. I'm one of those guys though who generally has to get burned twice by the same issue before I learn that the stove is hot. I find that my most successful flights come when I'm really looking forward to flying rather than worried about whether or not I'll find the ground prematurely. I suppose this is probably common sense for 99.9% of most everyone else but flying with a clear and "tension free" mind seems to work best. It's kinda funny that everytime I've flown when that little guy in the back of my mind says "maybe best if you don't fly t'day" and I fly anyway, I wind up shedding and replacing parts. Could be just a personal problem! Mikey 1 |

Don't think this is unique guys!! I'm exactly the same.
First time I try something - I can often do it. Then try it again and it goes butts-up! It's like my mind thinks 'you should know how to do this now' and nerves get me. Still cannot fly nose in, mostly because I get chicken when I turn the nose toward me. Side in ok......nose in no way! Hey that rhyhmes ![]()
