Hi Rob, The SDX has mounting holes already in the main frames to install the optional factory header tank that comes standard with the D3. It's a simple fit. I fitted one to my Sceadu fairly easily as well by just drilling one extra hole. Andrew |

Will those SDX canopies fit the Evo 50?

Hi, the answer is YES, they will definately fit the Sceadu Evo 50. I have one fitted on my Evo 50 right now. Both the standard Hirobo and Canomod SDX canopy's come without the back mounting holes drilled so you mount then on either model.
There are two ways to go about it. Firstly you must no matter what change the front sdtandoffs to the shorter SDX versions, 18mm instead of 22mm I think from memory. Then you can either just drill the back holes to suit the Evo 50 or you can, like I did, move the standoffs to the new SDX position by drilling new holes in the side frames then drill holes to suit the SDX. I did this because I have a SDX kit in waiting and want to reuse the canopy again once I change over. Also I found the holes would have been a little close to the edge if I drilled them to the Evo, the SDX mounting positions are a about 5-10mm further forward. Hope this helps. Andrew. |

Andrew,
Thanks for that - yes, it's a great help, and I'm really pleased to hear these new SDX canopies fit the Evo. At last I'll be able to put a really smart canopy on my Evos. I don't know why Canomod never bothered making canopies for the Evo - why was that, Mr.Canomod? BTW Canomod - please ship some SDX canopies to your UK distributors ASAP! Thanks! Ian |

Hey 73Driver.... beautiful SDX. Where did you get your colored boom and supports?? Is that anodized or just painted on yourself??
