The new SE has eliminated that as a factor. They changed the one big "problem" with Raptors, the head. Now with the increased pitch range, it's a whole new helicopter. How it flies is subjective as well. What might be better for some could be worse for others.

I have no opinion on the T-rex 600 because I have never flown one, but I have flown a Vibe 50. In my opinion, there wasn't enough difference in flight between that Vibe and my converted Rappy to compel me to run out and buy a Vibe.

Also, the only way to be truly well informed is direct, in person comparison. Fanbois and bashers on internet forums are poor indicators of the true quality of anything. People defend their choices feverishly, so you really have to hunt for objective opinion.

If a person has not directly experienced something, their opinion is of no use.

That is a great deal, regardless of what Align has to offer.

Where can I buy all that for $25 dollars?????? Point me to it and I'm there!

Sorry GMAN, but I definitely have to disagree with you on this one, the Raptor is a better tracking, better flying machine.

Funny thing is that "must have" doesn't always mean it's the best! There will always be front-runners I suppose, but you can always see what's trendy by the most commonly posted items. Parts support definately wins out in most people's cases, but the almighty buck speaks even louder. Everyone would have a much different opinion of things if they had stuff just handed to them instead of having to pay. You would fly what you truly like, not just what you can afford.

I sold my 600e and bought a Raptor 50V2. At first I thought I made a mistake but I'm finally getting used to the engine tunning and installing a govenor made all the difference in the world in how it compares to the 600e.
Parts are ultra cheap IMO and especially so if you buy used packages. I have enough spares now to build 3 full helis plus some. I only was able to keep a handfull of items for the 600e

I think you will be happy with either helicopter. The important thing is to have fun and not get caught up in the Which Is Better hype.

It is what you make it. I think Align wins most people over because of cheap parts or having the huge parts support. Most other companies can't seem to get this kind of coverage so they get left in the dust. I do have to admit their ambitions have kicked the crap out of all the other manufacturers on the innovative front, but they're far from the top of the pile when it comes to quality. Align just hits that fine balance most people are looking for. Most people are also awed by the shiny new stuff and Align is a relatively new company (compared to MA, Century, or ThunderTiger for example). Sometimes that's all it takes!
