Default RC Aerodyne 450 Airwolf

Any one of you guy have ever built one of these fuselage from RC Aerodyne? How is the quality compare to HeliArtist and Fusano? I know it's also from China.

Hey LeonMike,
I have no experience with Aerodyne.
But I noticed that the airwolf pictures with 250 size and 450 size are NOT the fuselages they seem to be. There all are 500 size pictures. They are the same pictures Align uses.
Strange....

I've seen Align's own 450 Airwolf and that's what I'd like to get. Look's to me like the best one made for this size. That, or the Heli-Artist V3 with built-in navigation light's.

I read about the Heli-Artist's version with lights but price wise almost double to the Aerodyne. Align version i can buy here back home, same price as the aerodyne buying online including shipping. Some said that the Aerodyne version is more detailed. Really don't know how true ??? Wonder which supplier in China makes it for them?

You're welcome!

What material are the retracts made of?
The early version HeliArtist was made of wood, and the newer version is now made of carbon plastic.

BTW, only the Align kit comes with the rocket launcher.

That's the one my Dad got at the hobby shop in Denver. We got the Align 450 version and it is simply gorgeous fuselage. Probably the best one I've ever seen at this scale. Dad say's he got it for "HIM" and it's not mine. But being so close to Xmas, I beg to differ. Or at least I hope to differ! LOL! The rocket launcher really adds a nice touch!

The CNC set, from HeliArtist, is no longer available.

But, you can get these from SmartModel.com.hk

BT what Tx are you running? I run a Futaba 7C with a 7 channels R617FS Rx. Can i plug the retract servo into channel 7 which is not utilised? How do i control the retract servo in this case? Futaba manual seems not to mentioned much for helis...

Default I have CNC's just delivered and Helliartist v3

The CNC set from SmartModel.com.hk is worth it if you ask me - even more so if you have a 500 size because of the spring absorb mech on em.. But the 400 series are also well built and worth it just for the added protection.. I have the latest Heli-artist Airwolf just unwrapped and will be building that using a Blade 400 for the insides.. its the V3 one with lights, and i got to say it looks the same as the Align one minus the rocket launcher (which I'll order sep or build my own).. I wonder if these guys just all use the same mold / supplier and repackage :S - seems like it to me..

I think these china manufacturers just buy one off the shelf and then start copying it...
Alright cnc gear it will be, but the paypal network seems not to be functioning on the smartmodel.com.hk website as it always shows " merchant is not ready to receive any payment at this moment"... Strange !!!

Did some cosmetic on it to brighten it up and now waiting for my cnc retracts to come in in the next 2 days. Will have to finish up the retracts first before i can mount the mechanics. Will also be outting in a slow retract module to slow down the landing gear retracts rate (about 4 secs). Will post more pics as i go along....

At long last, completed my Airwolf project. Was really tough struggling with the very tight space in the fuse mounting mechanics. light system and retract gears all at one go, Here are my pics... Buffed it up with car liquid wax from 3M to give it the extra deep gloss. But still not very comfortable with the mechanic mount in the fuse, may mod it again later... And i thought that this was another easy onebut did not turn out that way !!! What do you think guys ???
