59.8mm wide. That'll be a tight squeeze on the 700's. frames 60mm apart.

OMG that looks totally sick! I suppose it would fit between the side frames. I am sure they made it with the TRex 700 in mind. With all the activity of people making their own 700E's with conversion kits, it only has to be a matter of time before Align comes out with their own kit!

I wonder if this is the one Mr Mel tested? I think he said it did not really produce good results other than suck power.

Most likely the weak link in setups are the lipos and not the motors.

Yes that was another they debuted but its more suited towards Aerial Photography ships with heavy payloads. Plus it weighs a lot too.

I think this motor will not fit in a TRex because it is wider than the side frame spacing by 1mm.

I measured my 700 frames, they're 61mm apart. This motor will fit.

It's gonna be a tight fit for an outrunner. Can't wait to see someone mount one of these and see how it goes...

1.54 pound motor weight. HK4035 is 0.88 pounds.
32mm mounting hole spacing.
Not really a drop in installation for the current motor mounts out there.

Which one? Where did you get the 32mm?

The 50mm motor's dimensions are under the specs on Scorpion's website.

The HK4035 series motors and the Neu's are 25mm spacing. The Pyros are 30mm. Thus this new motor shares no common motor mount spacing with what is out there now unless the holes perpendicular to the long axis of the model are slotted in that direction.

I sent an email to scorpion and got this back.

Dear Cameron:

Thank you for your email. The HK 5020-450 is for the bigger 90 size helicopters and now available for backorder. It is work on Trex 700E conversion. Both HK5020 and HK4035 can both use on 700 class, but the HK5020 is especially design for conversion, and have higher torque and power, but heavier than HK4035 series. The hole spacing of HK5020-450KV motor is 32mm, and I have attached a dimension graph for your reference or you can go to http://www.scorpionsystem.com/files/..._dimension.pdf

As we all know this is an outrunner! I guess I dont want to be the first one to try this motor. The tolerances will be VERY small. BUT if anyone uses this motor, Please post. I am two to three weeks out from getting my Neu Motor. I will fly the Hyperion 4035-400 this weekend and post my results.

Well the fact that is 32mm spacing a custom motor mount will have to be used.

Should be able to use the Pyro mount and make it work

Man dunno about this motor more torque means harder on packs and more weight to carry around
