bad esc??? BL35X

shortly after takeoff my heli loses power. at first i thought i put on a very low battery. but i tried a fully charged one and same deal. it spools up fine but within 20 seconds i lose headspeed. motor rpm drops. is this a commom fault of this align esc???

no its more like lipo

they are fully charged lipos with maybe 5-6 flights each.

I have not heard of the Align 35X causing that issue but it's not out of the question.

What size/capacity batteries are you using and how long were the 5-6 flights?

Make sure the main rotors spin freely when you turn them by hand, you should get at least 3 full revolutions when you spin the head.

Post your 35X programming.

im going to go back through and re program.

this is how i plan to set it up..
BRAKE- DISABLED
TIMING- MID TIMING
VOLTAGE PROTECTION- HIGH
AIRCRAFT- SOFT START HELI (NO GOVERNER)
THROTTLE RESPONSE- MEDIUM

not sure about the settings. i have a 430L 3550kv motor

should i run high timing??
governer mode locks throttle at one speed correct???
would i benefit from faster throttle response???

I'd run mid timing and high throttle response.
1-2-2-2-3 is my setup.

wow. pretty sure i had mine set on the medium response..i will stretch her legs tomorrow in the daylight and post results.. think my my problem is solved may have accidentally put the brake on.

Also take off the idler pully as your belt may be getting jammed, soon to snap!
