TP 1010 w/ TP 210 charging TP 5000

I have not been able to get my TP 210 to work, Yes I am a newbie. I am using TP 1010 with the TP 210 balancer. I am connecting to a 12 volt 20 AMP battery I was able to charge to 2400ma using 6 cells @ 5AMPS. When I try to restart charging again to see if I can charge the full 5000 I receive a reverse polarity error message. What the hay am I doing wrong?

12v at 20 amps won't do much more than the 2400ma you put in.
6 cell = 24 volts at 5 Amps is (10 amps) atleast half of the 20 amps your battery has.
so it's really a low voltage error since the 12 vold battery is about drained at that point and can't charge anymore.

or could I use two 30 amp 12 volt RV batteries and connect them together for 24 volts 30 amps

The mah on the display only shows how much you put back into the battery not the full capacity of the battery. If your li-po is new, it comes half charged already. As long as the charging ended with the charge end display and the voltage was around 25v.. it's charged. Plug it back in and check the voltage.

thanks, i pluged my 2nd TP5000 into the TP210 and it read it like a book woth out any errors, 45 min to charge 3400. thanks again for the assist i would be lost with out this group.
