Videos are great, thank you Mel.
I have a 2 questions (T-rex 700, Vbar, mikado head, DX7)
When I use DX7 setting from Vstabi, my collective is reverse (on preset file for 700), I checked the channels, I think they are OK.
Should I reverse channel from TX of from software?
Second is about swash leveling
I level my swash on setup menu, but when I go to normal menu I have about 5 mm tilt on collective towards to nose. Should I have same level on both setup or normal mode?

TX Calibration should be correct, always!
Use Collective Reverse checkbox if needed under Setup->swash->expert.

When you go out of setup mode = Control loop is enabled and all bets are off, only in setup mode = level swash and that's ok.

new Episodes are up (to 16)
Be aware its much technical mumbo jumbo in these last episodes as I go over the mainscreen and all expert parameters.

Don't fall asleep

EDIT: OK I found the new software at the V-stabi site and got all I wanted!!! Please ignore my question below (should have done more research before asking!!!).

MrMel - I noticed that on your videos you have a large number of presets. I have very few on my V-bar. I also noticed that in Set-up step 4, Swash, you have the picture of the sensor in the heli. I tried an online update, but nothing is new, and no more presets. How do I get these?

My PC software is v. 4.0.17
V-stabi controller is v. 4.0.20

Thanks, Al

Love the tech mumbo jumbo! V-bar is a techys dream.

One question on the main rotor video, maybe I missed it and you mentioned it but how do you go about setting the main rotor gain?

Are you going to cover in a later video?

Main rotor gain is set by the slider (the one to the right off the 3).

What value totally depends on headspeed, dampers etc, but in a same way as tail gyro, raise it, if you get wobble at stop, you need to lower it.

Episode 17 is up where I finalize the setup and check pitch, phasing etc (also included how to spot phasing issues on the field)

Will pause a while now as I will leave for a week, then I will continue with tweaking

Fredrik this is excellent work.
These videos cleared up quite a few “grey areas” for me.
Thank you for going to the trouble.

For me, these couldn't have come at a better time. I really appreciate the time and effort and sharing with the community here. Being a newbie to the VStabi, I'll feel a lot more confidant when time comes to maiden.

One more question,
I use gear channel in mix2 (DX7) to cut my engine, but at the same time Vbar using it to change banks.
I coppied same settings to all banks, but I wonder if it interrupts something in Vbar.

Just make sure Bankswitching isnt turned on (Set to Bank 0) and it wont be used in the VBar.
