Jazz-Jive you should be in the 75-85% range is most optimum.

Shawn is right, 75% for older packs, even 70%, for newer 35-45C packs you can run higher 80-85% and still have perfect performance.

In high ambient temps (if you run into temp problem) stay above 80.

Question. Could you have these available in WMV for download like Finless videos? HF host? Your host? Or I even have tons of room on slyster.com

I, for one (and many other Mac users, I'm sure), am glad to have them as MP4, so please don't stop the MP4s if you do decide to do WMV. I end up converting Finless's WMVs to MP4 anyway.

I have a mac. Quicktime plays WMV perfectly. I think I installed Flip4mac or something a while back.

I've had problems with Flip4Mac crashing Quicktime Player on certain videos (none of them from HF), so I prefer not to use it. I'm curious as to why you want them as WMV?

MP4 is an industry standard, WMV is a Microsoft "standard". I believe that WMP will play MP4s.

I'm planning of making a torrent file for "complete download" when I am done with the series.

Sidenote; Use VLC player on Mac to play Wmv

Episode 23 & 24 is up, Tail Tweaking and PID controllers.

These two episodes might raise questions for many, just fire away, its hard to cover everything on one shoot of video

Thanks Fredrik. I really learned a lot from your vids, but I'm still not done with my Vbar on the Stratus.

Another question from me is:

Cyclic ring is not something I necesarilly want to get as lot as throw on my swashplate as possible, but what I need to get about 11 degrees of cyclic pitch. Is this assumption right?

Hhhmm, what do mean with cyclic pitch.Do mean the cyclic gain from the calculator or the cyclic angle of the swashplate?

Cheers

Cyclic pitch = degree deflection on the swash.

I set it to 11 degree or so, even if I can get more without binding you will never ever need more inflight (blades stall at a total of 17-18 degree anyway)

I didn't bother even measuring cyclic pitch. I just set the response in the VBar software to whatever felt good. I've never measured what angle that is.

Only really needed when you do a heli that is "unknown", i.e. like I did my Aurora in the videos
When VBar came out I flew some vicked setup before we knew how to set them up correctly

Same. I set up the Logo with the preset and then increased the rates to my liking. No need to waste time measuring when you know you may change it anyway

Although I can see if we didn't have a preset you'd definitely want to measure pitch.

I found I couldn't even measure cyclic. Isn't it like trying to measure tail pitch with a HH gyro?... ie impossible?

+1 for doing it totally by feel too!
