Default Hitec Servos

I was just looking at Hitec servos on Tower. It looks like Hitec is discontinuing a lot of the higher-end Karbonite servos. Horizon shows them on back-order. Does anyone know anything more about them than this?

The metal gear servos appear to be unaffected, but the Karbonite gears have been recommended to me as they will not develop lash as quickly as the metal gears.

The only Karbonite servo that has been discontinued is the HS-6985HB. The 6975 & 6965HB are still available.

Check www.servocity.com for some good prices and service.

I love my Karbonite servos.

Mike,

Why was the highest-torque servo discontinued? That would have been an awesome collective servo for a large helicopter.

Another question for you: Does Hitec make any servos that can run on 7.4 volts without a regulator?
