Crashed Blades....

Guys, what can I do with crashed blades? I know some people make heli hangers with them using spacers on the wall, some people just use them as art, etc. I just don't have the heart to throw them away, nor let anyone around me that crashes throw them in the bin unless they are shredded. I can't be the only one that has looked for a use for them. What do you do with them if you don't throw them away in a crash? I'd love to come up with some cool ideas.

Add some mainshafts and make a windchime.

glue accordian like paper to each blade with pretty ornamental pictures on them, or heli pictures and make fans to pass out to your friends for hot days.

Put them in a first aid kit for a splint.

I was told by an old timer that it is a great repair piece for broken frame.

Break up into real small pieces and add into your ramen noodles for extra fiber in your diet...

Usually only one blade is damaged for me, so I just keep the good ones, and balance match pairs for spares. This is on the 450. I still have the broken ones too. In fact, I still have all my damaged bits.

The camera mount would be cool! Post pics when you are done! Rebuilding a crashed blade sends a shiver up my spine...

There was a guy here on helifreak that used the broken blades for some kind of flap on a rc boat. I don't remember if he wanted them for free or if he was buying them. Just seen this thread and I thought I'd chime in. I'll try to locate the thread.

At least I'm not the only one that saves all the broken bits. Everytime Sly asks me how many crashes I've had I just go count bent mainshafts.
