Default Cyclic Pitch?

Noob 450 question.

I still fine tuning my setup, but have done some basic sport flying and does good as far as motor, esc, tx, batts. Get 6:00 out of 2200 and put back 60%, 97% flatline.

I am working on the pitches now. I have +11, 0, -11 w/ 00/25/50/75/100.
I have elevator +6, -6, evened out w/ endpoints.
I get +7, -5 on the aileron, even with endpoints and swashmix maxed out.
Swash level, high, mid, low. Servos 90 @ mid stick.

I am sure I missed something in the Finless vids, but wanted to see if I did something really obvious before I start over.

Hey Chris,

First, don't use endpoints to adjust cyclic pitch, they should only be used to level the swashplate at high and low stick.
You should make the collective and cyclic throws all equal through mechanical linkage adjustments.

Make sure the cyclic servo linkage balls are the correct distance from the center hub. I think on the HS65's it's about 12-13mm.

I have that setup on my CX and I'm at about 60% Swash Mix values on AIL and ELE and get about 7° pitch.

If you get all the head mechanics (swashplate, washout arms, flybar cage, mixing arms and blade grips) lined up using linkage adjustments the pitches should by equal in all directions. The slightest variation on mechanical setup will equate to a degree or two off on the pitch.

BTW, my L/R AIL pitch is off by about 1° and I don't notice it when I roll.

Thanks Wolf. It's really more like 6.5 on way and 5.0 the other. I'll go through the setup again just to double check.

Try starting over with all Swash Mix values at 60%.
Then put Endpoints back to 100%, level the swash at 1/2 stick using linkage adjustments then high and low stick using the endpoints.
Level all head mechanics and get zero pitch at 1/2 stick, mechanically only.
Measure cyclic and collective pitch and make linkage adjustments so +/- collective is equal, L/R AIL is equal and F/R ELE is equal.
Then adjust Swash Mix values to get the desired ranges.

if you used your end points to adjust cyclic your swashplate wont be level anymore...when you give it pitch it's gonna vear off a bit funny on ya

Also if the swash isn't mid stick or perfectly level to begin with at midstick you will get uneven cyclic throws.

Then there is also the geometry of things that will create uneven throws...nothing you can do about this.

Get things as close as you can and don't worry about it.... in flight you may not feel it at all.
