can u share your setting
main gear
pinion
idle thrtle curve

i'm using the same ESC&MOTOR as yours in my T600 stretch but use
T700 115T main gear+11Th pinion+KDE pinion support
idel 80%flat pitch +-12 no GOV
but the ESc is hot

just change the pinion to 10th and try to increase the idle throtle curve to 90%flat or 100% flat no GOV

Ciao guys,

I have been using this ESC with a scorpion 4035 560kv for quite some time now. I was initially fying with a Trex 600 with KDE main gear case with Trex700 maindrive gear.
Now I have converted my Trex 700 to electric. The ESC and motor work just fine and I am currently using four 2650mah 6s turnigy lipos (two in series and two parallel for a total of 5300 mah at 12s) obviously the heli is quite overweight but still flies quite well. I have been using the program box for the Turnigy ESC but have always left the timing on low as I've read that any other timing setting could be catastrophic.

Has anybody tried changing the timing with this ESC?

Thanks in advance
Happy landings
Mike

Default Just Hosed my Main gear

Im running the Opto 120 with the Turnigy 600 Motor and with my old setup i could switch Flight modes in flight. I guess that is not an option anymore as when i flipped the switch it chewed all the teeth of my main gear. No Soft transition there at all. I was lucky to get to the ground without a crash. I wish there were a way to setup the softstart. Even very soft is hard in my opionion.

Default Transition

Fliping to idle up can be delayed in certain radios (FUTABA)
Program a condition delay for the throttle transition, it will ramp the ESC up slow enough to not strip gears. Or have a high normal flight rpm close to ID1 and step up a little to ID2.
(Experi-mental)
