It sure looks like it, Rob... one thing... if you translate the original page from Chinese, it says the video'd bird has 500 mm blades. But no joke for power. That thing sounded bad-ass! I wonder if it was Bobby Watts flying it?

Fantastic - looks like an expensive summer with that and the Mini Protos.

Looks bigger than a 425 to me - look at the blade and boom length

Its not the 425 v2, the X500 is bigger and have a totally diffrent drive system.
X500 takes 500-530 blades, maybe even 550.

I remember when I went to IHobby in Chicago last oct, I was talking to Ray Stacy and he told me Gaui was working on a totally new 500 with direct to swash servo setup and new drive system. He thought it would be out in a few months at the time.Sounds like the X500.

Info from a Swidish forum: It´s Bobby Watts flying the new X500, the heli in the video is with the motor, ESC and TT it comes with in the kit. 500-530 even 550 blades like Dr Daniel whrote.
Release in April.
