Default Servo wires placement

OK, I poured thru tons of pics of 600's and found plenty of pics but now of this.

My eyes are burnin...

The stock servos...600 ESP where the wires come out of the servo comes pretty close to the big round white gear. I have all my wiring figured out except how to keep that wire from gettin down into the gear. I could use a zip tie to keep it away but if the tie ever breaks..I fear it will go into the gear.

Does anyone have any pics of the inside of their 600 ESP? I'd like to see how this area is handled

Thanks

Joe

Mine go back on the inside of the frame and are ziptied to the frames in spots before and after the main shaft where there are holes for zipties. If a ziptie breaks your servo wire is probably gone too...

Routed mine up the sides of the servos and strapped them in place to the servo body, then ran them back along the frame sides and ty wrapped them in place, no worry about them every breaking loose

I just finished my build and went through the same dilemma. Here's what I have done. Although it looks pretty darn close how the aileron and pitch servo wires come to the main gear, there is enough clearance.

See how there is enough clearance.

The way I got it clear was to tie the wires together as close to the servo then running them straight to the first frame tie placement in the frame

By no means I'm saying that's the optimal way of doing it, but it works for me. Please post any other ideas you get because I may change it if a better idea comes along.

I have just completed my 600esp build and really didn't like the two front servos wires being so close to the main gear, also the route on the rear to the receiver seemed very close to the tail gears. I chose to route the wires on the outside (needed servo extension cables from the front servos and esc) using the braided cable protector. It looks really great and I cant see why you would risk rubbing on the gears with an internal route- incidently this is how I did it on the trex450 too and seemed to work really well there too. The braid is yellow too- same as the canopy.

Red, that same thought crossed my mind. I just have to decide if I'm too lazy right now to take it all apart Guess it would be best for safety sake.

Browndog- I think it would make sense to reroute if - like me- you're worried about the gears rubbing the servo wiring -and it shouldn't take long.

If you secure them properly inside the frame and check them during routine maintenance then you will not have any problems. I drilled a few extra holes in the frame for zip ties and usually put a little heatshrink at the position of the zip tie to prevent chafing and leave the zip tie so the cable can move a little.
I like a clean looking heli with no cables run on the outside of the frame if possible.
Cheers
Adrian

Local guy showed me he ran his on the inside towards the top...Then had his reciever on the top of the tail boom. Looked real clean and safe but not sure how good an idea the receiver on top is
