Anybody own a FireFox?

Looking for something tiny but 3D capable for indoor this season. I found this: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9387
on hobby city and thought that with decent electronics it could be good. Does anybody own this kit, know the size of servos it needs, or can recommend a decent gyro? I have flown a walkera 4g6 that one of my friends has with great sucess but want something that I can install Spektrum equipment in and bind to my DX7.

yeah I have one. it really is not 3d capable. tail grips explode the first time you spool it up. my setup is 5 gram servos which are to big had to cut servo mounts, 10a turnigy esc, stock motor and pinion, 2s 800mah, hk401 , cut down align blades, and corona receiver. motor has no power. swash has very limited movement had to turn swash mix down to 35% to keep from binding. lots of slop in the tail. I replaced the blade grips with the blue aluminum ones from hk and got a gaui double bearing tail pitch slider. id you want to do 3d inside this is not the heli for you. that being said I still like to fly the thing. it is fun to fly around. I did one loop with it and it took up a ton of room. other than the tail I have had no other problems with the ep100. I have probably had about 50 or so flights with it. I think a motor upgrade will help a lot. I have one on the way. may be more head speed will help. my throttle curve is 100% all the way across now. motor bogs with just a little pitch. if you want small indoor 3d just get a gaui. my hurricane 200
rips on the same lipos I run in the ep100 and can flip and roll in place. with the gaui head on it and a good motor it might be nice.

I was also looking at the Gaui Se-pro 3d as an option but it looks like they are discontinued everywhere or at least on thier way out??? There just isnt a lot of options out there right now that can be on DSM2 without completely buying all new electronics.

why not get the hk250gt or a trex 250.

I looked at the T250 but (cant believe I am saying this) its a little bigger than what I want. I already have a Rappy 50 and a rex 450 so now I want something absolutely tiny.

the trex 250 is the same size as a gaui 200. both run 205mm blades. its tiny.

I got tired of dealing with my Firefox and gave it away!!! I'm now looking at either a HK250 or a EXI250 (same as a HK250GT I think).

I thought I was the only one that had one. never herd it mentioned on the forum before. I will let you know how it is with the new motor I ordered from hobby king. might make it better.

I have one too. I did a search in HFreak but nobody seemed to have bothered with this one.
So i 've not put any electronics ever.
Lately i was considering completing the build as a low-cost project (as i have a spare gyro to use)
Any info on electronics(+cost) would be welcomed
At the HK/product reviews, a guy says he uses the VS9 4.4g (6$) with success

They are mostly about Gaui helis, but many ideas apply also to the FF100
