OK...Third flight with the 600 ESP All stock elc and motor. I set my timer on my TX for 6 min. Did some hovering....hover and land... and just sitting there spinning up..YES, I'm a super newb. Anyway, just recharged and the charger said it put back 1030 mah The charge was over in 30 min with my 50 watt Hyperion 0606i. The batt is a Blue Lipo 5000mah 6S 25c
OK, is it just because I didn't put much strain on the heli yet? I'm sure there is some info I left out so bear with me Joe |

That sounds about right. You didn't put much strain when you were just spinning on deck. Try and hover until you hear the headspeed drop. The set it down and charge. Also, set a stop watch and when you land, stop the time. Subtract a minute or so and this will be a good starting point for your flight times. Once you get into FF and aero's, your flight time will start dropping due to the more strain on the battery.

My first flights at 6 minutes used about 2100mAh hovering and FF only.
Now I'm flying "sport aero" and light 3D on a 6-minute timer and use about 3700mAh. Stock everything, Zippy FM 5000mAh 20C. Until I dumped it last Saturday.... ![]() Parts on the way.

I ran two 2200s for 6s with about 5 minutes, very similar to what you did because I'm just breaking it in and only put about 1000 back in so that sounds about right

Did you run the heli for the full 6 mins.? Was that the first cycle on the li-pos? Did you break the batteries in yet? If they're broke in and that was the first cycle in the heli then that sound about right, you're not gonna use that many Mah's just spining the blades with the heli on the ground. You need to hover the heli for the entire 6 mins and then see what you put back. You can use that number to adjust your flight times and remember, never drain the li-po below 80%. With a 5000Mah li-po that number would be 4000Mah's. Hope this helps!
