Finally finished up my Suzi Hans 700E. Frames are 2.6mm CF with a sliding battery tray for easy rear removal and an awesome top motor mount. I am running the HV 85, XERA 4030-3y, 12s 5000 TP 45C lipos, Vbar, RJX head, 8717s, 8900g, 2100 mah 2s rx lipo, edge 693 FBL, and Edge 105 tails. Heli without batteries is 7 lbs 1.6 oz. With batteries the flying weight is 11 lbs 1 oz.

Oh yeah, are you using the satellite RX connectivity of the V-bar unit?
I sure wouldn't mind setting my next heli up that way to save weight.... Cheers-

LOL no crashing this one. Yes I am using the sat. rx setup on the vbar. In the 7th picture you can see the satellites plugged into the side of the vbar unit. Makes the install so much easier.

Not running the servo supports?

No not sure whether they are necessary or not. Before I had this frame setup I used the stock frames and flybarless and the servos did okay. What are the part necessary to so it?

I don't know that they are or aren't absolutely required. Probably depends on the bearings in the servo to some degree.
I chose to run them... high torque servos, direct to swash... seemed like a good idea to have outboard support.

Where did you get the parts from?

I used the carbon fiber "cross braces" in the Suzi-Hans frame kit. I bought bearings to go in those braces at a hobby shop (at IRCHA, actually). I picked up some screws and spacers at a local electronics surplus shop.
The key to the whole thing is that a standard 2MM? 2.5MM? cap head screw will go into the servo threads. So it is like Cap Head through bearing, then nylock nut, leaving a bunch of thread sticking out. This thread that sticks out goes into the servo. With just a little playing around, you can get that nut to tighten down on the servo arm, and the spacing between the cap head and the nut leaves the bearing free. MUCH easier to do than to write!

Here is the maiden flight. I need to tweak the vbar a little and it should be perfect.

I kept a separate RX pack in my 700e but on the next build I think I'll go with the satellite RX setup.
Since you skipped on a traditional receiver, how did you set up the power system? BEC, separate RX pack? I mean, what is the wiring scheme? Tanx!

---and--- RX pack v BEC. The two are not really related... you can run an RX pack with either V-Bar setup (just plug into any open port) or a BEC with any V-Bar setup (same).

What I meant was... I ran a RX pack and regular RX, but in the future to save weight, I want to eliminate the traditional receiver (and possibly RX battery) and go with the satellite RX setup. So did you use a BEC, or separate RX pack? Does the V-bar unit have a separate battery connection, or is it still just the standard servo connectors providing power to the whole system....? Sorry about the confusing post. hehe

I am running a separate rx battery. 2s 2100 mah. I made a lead with a deans plug on one end and two servo connectors on the other, I plug those into two open ports on the vbar, no separate power connector for it as the voltage bus on the vbar is across all pins. I am running the 2s on my cyclic servos. I am using the JR VR5203 for my tail to step down the voltage.
