Neu 1512 and 1515 bolt straight in , Tango's should also drop straight in.
First you need to pick your volts then find a motor. Motors are cheaper than battery packs so find the packs you are happy with then work on the motor and esc to suit.

I'm just starting to build mine now and will be using a Hacker c50-15xl 1100 kv motor (my old Ion-x motor, I now have a Neu 1521/1.5 on it). With 10t (replaced with mikado one) and 10s1p 3700 Evo20's (2x5s1p's) it should rock.
A new guy (Jason) showed up at out field today with a couple of Trex600's. One was stock with 6s1p 4900 Evo20's. His other Trex600 (his wife bought him apparently, lucky guy!) had an Actro 24-4 (~570 kv and seemed to fit between the frames no problem) with a 18t Mikado (Logo 0.7 mod) steel pinion and 10s1p 3700 evo20's (2x5s1p's) and a kontronik 55-10-32 esc running it at 80% Gov mode. I tacked his nominal headspeed at 2000 rpm and this did not seem to vary much more than +/- 50 rpm. I think he was using nhp 600 blades. The performance of this 10s setup was fantastic to say the least. I can honestly say I have never seen any heli (nitro or elect) in person or on any video that was as ballistic as this. It was really sick and scary, with lots of very good, strong 3d moves! After 5 minutes (he is still breaking in new packs) all batteries, esc, and motor were just warm to touch. He did not stay long enough to recharge so I do not know what he put back in, but based on other runs he told me about I'm guessing ~24-2700 mah's. I did not see his 6s stock setup fly but he told me it flies pretty good as well, but not near as good as the 10s actro setup. He says it even scares him! I hope my Hacker works as well but if it doesn't I know what 10s motor I'll be trying next! Anyway, I thought I'd pass on this info. Cheers, Tom C

Go Tom, good to hear there is some fun and experimentation happening up there as well. I guess the new guy was Jayway. Glad to hear he is up and running too.

Ya Oz, you may want to stick your Joker motor/esc (24-5 think, with a diff pinion) on your Trex600! Man, that guy is not just up and running, he's smoking!
Cheers, Tom C
