Default New Align Heli Carrying Bag

Align is looking for feedback on design of upcoming 500~700 heli bags. Attached photos are preliminary sample and does not reflect the final product. They are looking for color, trim, as well as functional ideas.

Post your ideas here and I will forward them to Align's forum.

How about some long slot pockets for spare blades? If you have a full length bag may as well store some blades in it since they are so inconvenient to pack along separately. The blade pockets could even add a structural element to the bag when filled, and could hold booms, tail shafts, boom supports as well.

Since they are full flat bottomed maybe some elastic or velcro straps - or pockets - under the boom or in the front corner for batts? Keep the outside clean and smooth.

Battery pockets would be great as well as a compartment to carry the radio (wide enough to accommodate a foam cover or something similar). Color is for the birds.

Perhaps a spot with slots for basic tools, or a velcro side pouch

Sign me up for at least one of each size (if the price is right of course, it is a luxury not a necessity)
Thick vinyl hard wearing base material to keep fuel leaks inside and the outside clean.
Reasonable padding for protection during transport.
Black is fine as far as colors are concerned (Henry Ford was right)

agreed battery pockets, but not on the outside where the sun could cook them.
tool slots are a plus.

Small pockets for basic tools, like allen keys, ball link removers.

They look great and yes they are a luxury. It looks like you can only use the stock blade holder though.

I like this one better http://www.grandrc.com/inc/sdetail/156763 will the heli fit in it if I'm using this blade holder????

Plus you can hide the wrecked carnage in it from the wife when you bring it back home

maybe you could unzip the tail and the head and fly an "e" copter while it was still in the bag. That would be funny looking but functional. The functional part is when you crash all of your parts won't be lost. You just get home unzip the bag and shake all of your parts out. LOL. Just kidding of course!!! LOL.

These are a great idea, especially if ya have a pickup truck, feel safer putting them in the back if they are bagged and more secure. I like the idea of straps and extra pockets. They should definelty do multi colors, bright and flashy!!

Soft bags seem kind of useless to me for protecting a heli. I'd rather see a decent hard shell case.

I say black for color or a racing blue. A spot to fit a starter would be nice too.

Desert or Jungle camouflage like a gun bag would be cool.

Non-Skid bits on the outside bottom of the bag to stop it sliding around on the carpet in the back of the car. Fixings in bag to stop heli moving in bag (similar to the K&S fixtures).

I am not a big believer of putting my expensive Tx in with a filthy heli after a days flying.

Pockets for a few tools, spare glow plugs, and Rx packs would be handy.

It definitely CANNOT contain the words "Conquer Your Heart " on the outside of it!!

Offer it in any color you want, including pink, if it'll get more cute women into the sport...

Stole my idea, I was working on this very same thing, Oh well. I too had the Idea of blade holders on the outside and a few velcro pockets on the outside, I was using the duffle bag material that the US Military uses, and maybe a plastic hard liner on the bottom to give it support. Carry Hadles and Shoulder strap would be nice, I like the Yellow,
I thought about the hard case and they are just too big and cumbersome, for me anyway. I like the bag idea.

I would concider buying a hard case for my helis for travel but NOT a bag.

Q. What protection does a soft padded bag offer?
A. Absolutely none.

Yeap..

1) Protection is the most important things i am looking at... especially the tail side... when carring my heli now, holding the rotor head.. the tail is abit easy to hit here and there... front flybar? Can it be protected ?

2) Pockets for some tools...

3) Internal velcro to hold some batteries and the starter... ideally between the skid and the tail fin...

Hard casing with wheels will be nice for protection... like our tour luggage with 2 wheels and a handle..

Just my two cent worth...
