Here's my picks for the Cypher:

Main blades
325 CF White @ HobbyKing - (good performance, sport / 3d, easy to see)
325 CF Yellow @ HobbyKing - (same as whites, but without the tapered edge)
325 CF 3D Pro @ XHeli - (heavier, good price and good blades for the beginner)

Tail blades
59.6 Plastic @ ReadyHeli - (many colors, thick root, great balance)

Align CF blades work well too.

Ah Clem, I'm with you. My LHS has them for $32. That's not bad for quality CF.

Default pinions

The CYPHER has a .4 mod tooth pattern... 2.3 mm motor shaft.
I use an ALIGN motor with a 3mm shaft..they dont make a 4mod pinion to fit a 3mm shaft so i drill mine out with a 1/8 drill bit in a press.. if done right it fits good.. also add a drop of thread lock or ca

here are some links that have pinions :

Best Blades I have ever flown on the Cypher are the Mavrikk ones that you can get here:

http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/mer...Code=MAV802320

I typically use Align CF because my LHS has them cheap for like $17 and the Mavrikk's are like $32.

Default CYPHER BLADES

Use the white 3d pro carbon blades from hobbypartz for best results! Why would anyone ever use anything but carbon for both main and tail? http://www.hobbypartz.com/60p-pro-3251.html

Default New Blades

Has any one used the 335mm 3D Carbon Fiber blades on the Cypher? I used them on my 450 EXI and they worked well. Right now i'm using the 325 3D Carbon fiber blades on my Cypher and it flies good. I don't do any 3D, just cruise around.

Thanks
camboat

Nope... havent gone that big ... either 315 or 325 but not 335 ...
I want to add i'm not really a fan of CF .. I like my woodies.. I tryd a pair or two of CF blades and it took forever to get them balanced and i still had a bad vibe.... woodies have done me fine so far and they're cheap.. keep in mind I dont do 3D.. just sport for now

Well I got my 3D 335 CF blades the other day. I have hovered a bit in the garage. (The weather has been terrible! ) They seem fine, the motor or esc doesn't get hot. I can't wait to try them outside.

Kevin, my CF blades have been real close. I mean one blade took a piece of electrical tape about 1/2 in long on the CG to balance it. Yes I have had a set of blades that were so far off that they were used for paint stir sticks.

Do you CG balance them then weight balance them? If the weight of each blade is off you will get a vib, yet if the weight is right on but the CG of each blade is off, you will get a vib.

Dru~ I cant remember x~actly but I spent about an hour or more getting my cog and balance as dead on as possible ..( major pita ) when i spun it up the thing started to bounce like a ball ... such a bad vibe ! so i took off the blades and re balanced and checked cog one more time , noticed the cog was a 16th off center.. so went through all the steps again and it still had a vibe ( not as bad ) i got fed up and just put my woodies back on .. end of problem to much of a headach for me

Blades can be a pain. I balance for CG then I balance for weight. If you look at my blades, one has tape at the CG and the other has it towards the tip. I put the tape on the tip to move the CG to match, then I place the tape on the CG to make sure the blades weigh the same.
